Have just purchased a book from the British Postal Museum, its on a subject I know a little bit about, having
spent most of my working life with the Post Office, moving mail by road. On the question of cycles it states,
the standard was approved by the Postmaster General Sir Austen Chamberlain in 1902 when the purchase
of trade pattern bicycles was ordered, bet he didnt ride one himself. Bernard
