  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Mills at Sutton Park

While researching family history, I came across this thread and was suprised to see Hill Hook mentioned. the attached photo was taken at the mill in the spring of 1961. It shows Jack Medlam the game keeper mentioned in other postings, his wife Agnes, her mother Annie and their sister in law together with her two children, Jack's nephew and niece
 
Long shot I know, but any relation to Andy Medlam who I believe still lives down that way?
 
Chris, We were all scared of Mr Medlam even though he only shouted at us.......well we shouldn't have been on the land.

The picture of hi and his family is lovely thanks for posting it!
