hi kat this map site maybe of use to you...you can move the map around and also if you drag the blue dot the map will fade out to show you what is there now..i do warn you that this map site can become very addictive as you can go all over the country with it...ive spent many an hour on it
I have so much more of an idea now on where my relations would have been going about their daily lives.
The census material was a bit of a jigsaw puzzle, lots of street names, but now I can piece it together and not just for Birmingham but other locations in the UK.
