Maiers Winter Family update-Part III

Maiers Winter Family update-Part III- THE CHILDREN CONTINUED

FANNY WINTER-DAUGHTER
When Fanny visited Yetta in 1953 she gave the next of kin address of 4547 Sheridan Road, Chicago along with her sister’s name of Rose Winter. Fanny was 5 feet 2 inches tall with a fair complexion, brown hair and brown eyes.
In the 1931 trip she was an Operator.
ROSE WINTER-DAUGHTER
Rose Winter gave as her next of kin on her 1935 visit, Esther and an address of 937 Eastwood Avenue. She had become a USA citizen just a few months early in December 1934. Rose was 5 feet 7 inches tall with a dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes. She gave her job as a beauty operator. It is possible that Rose died in Cook, Chicago in 1957.
ENOCH WINTER-SON
In his 1908 trip from Birmingham to visit Isaac, he lists 286 West Superior Street as Isaac’s address in Chicago. Interestingly he gives his father’s address as 137 St Lukes Road for 20th May, 1908 meaning that the father Maiers was living there from 1908-1912 not as previously stated as 1910-1912. Enoch was 5 feet 7half inches tall with a dark complexion, black hair and brown eyes. He was a Bootmaker.
1930 CENSUS
The 1930 census has all the 3 girls living at 4547 Sheridan Road, Chicago as roomers with Dr. Berg from Denmark. They seemed to have stayed there at least until 1953. Rose is a Mail-Clerk, Esther is a Hand Server and Fanny is a Machine Operator.
Isaac Winter and is family are still living at 644 Milwaukee and they have a Danish boarder called Tuydor Melton. Isaac is a Salesman in Shoes.
