Hollier Street

GONE BUT NOT FORGOTTEN
This street seems to have long since disappeared and is only mentioned five times according to the search engine, so this is primarily aimed at our map expert, Mikejee, and I'm specifically looking for House 2 Court 2 and the family NAVEN. Any pictures other than the pub on the corner of Darwin Street would be a bonus. Date is around 1901. Many thanks.

Cannot help with the particular house, as by the 1950 map that area was a blank space, presumably bombed. However have marked houses in the court in red on the c 1889 map. You can see that it can only be a guess as to which is number 2 because of the layout.

Mike,

Many thanks. That is an intriguing layout and somewhat different to the courts I have encountered before. In fact, I had never heard of Hollier Street. One of its occupants, as a child, ended up as my mother's second husband for a matter of five years, but I never really knew him and he has been dead for best part of fifty years. Cheers.
