HAIKUS

And that's the point..

I dont think Sue realises just how quite good she is..
Writing Haikus is one of the hardest things to do..
You really are brilliant at them Sue.

Best not k8

In these things - I tend to be like a horse leading in the Grand national - just before they fall at the last fence

Sue (riding haikus galore)

Pre bedtime Haikus

white delicate bells
fragrance drifting in the breeze
lily of the valley

Sue (Haikus appreciation society)

:D You really are Brill' at it Sue... 8) I only hope your keeping all these Haikus filed away safely somewhere :)

Sue (a breakfast haikus)

VERY IMPORTANT

Sue - pleeeze keep these haikus - you are really very very good as Kandor said. If you don't want them send them to me and I'll publish them in your name! I am definitely not joking. You're not getting them out of a book are you and tricking me?

ANOTHER THOUGHT

We can put Sue's haikus together and sell the book and this site will never be short of $$$

Original Acheus

Katie :) Them Haikus of Kates gotta be Originals :)

What with Nursing & Looking after her BLOKE

Caught the bug

:D Sue I think I've caught your bug...

A Kiwi sits still
While Ferns blow softly above
In his own green home

Ice sparkles above
Glaciers older than man
Making Glass Mountains

Sand dunes of fine sand
Like sugar tasting as Salt
Make sea shores of gold

My cat slinks quiet
Mid green wavering grass stalks
Unsuspecting prey

Old fruit falls from trees
Becoming composting mulch
Food for next year.‚.’s growth

Pom :)

And more...

:D
Fine soft coats of down
Tiny feet waddle along
Behind mother duck

Flocks of sheep grazing
Keas swoop land on soft backs
Farmers chase off thieves

Sun Warmed River flowing
splashing, twirling and churning,
Running ever faster

Pom :)

NEW ZEALAND/JAPAN

Chris - wonderful haikus - doesn't it get in your blood? I wish I could write like you and Sue. Sue is great at them isn't she?

And again...

:D
Inky dark black night
Stars shining in heaven bright
Children sleeping tight

Birds choral singing
Morning Songs for a new day
Wake up wake they say

Pom :)

No K8 they are not from a book they are definitely from my head. I had never even heard of them til you started the thread. Maybe I just like rules and regulations? (unusual for me)

I agree with Pom - they are very 'moreish', and I love writing them (you'd never have guessed would you?) -I'm even talking haikus now

I love yours too Pom - I do have to say though, mine seem 'very simple' when I compare them with others

My mom has gone mad
using her fingers and toes
phonetically

Sue (how my son would write a haikus)

Can you hear the hum?
Black and yellow balls of fluff
searching for pollen

Sue (being a busy bee)

sleep tight dear christine
sweet dreams for you, as you rest
in morphius's arms

Sue (a greek haikus ode)

Terrific

SUE :) This is Terrific

Great Haiku styling matching a beautiful photographic sybolism

Truly Your Best so far,, well done,,, John Y

Mitre Peak
At a height of 1,692 metres (5,560 feet), this is one of the highest mountains in the world that rise directly from the ocean floor (It is as deep as it is high). So named because its shape resembles that of a Bishop’s mitre, or head-dress.

Acorns

Like a rugby ball
placed from a try, its sprouting
the fruit of the oak

Sue (now talking like a darlek)
