Great War Tanks made in Birmingham

I wasn't sure if I should put this under transport or WW1? Anyway, has anyone got any memories or information regarding the tanks produced by the Metropolitan Wagon and Finance Company during the Great War. They were invented and first made by William Foster and Co Ltd in Lincoln, but they were only a small concern. Metropolitan stepped in as they were apparently a much larger company and from 1916 to 1918 made hundreds of tanks for the war effort.

That's great Mike G!! I knew someone must have covered the subject before. I looked all over the place, but couldn't find anything, story of my life!:thumbsup::thumbsup:
