Goe 504

Isn't it Super B, not 8 ? Not that that means anythig to me either, unless its a demonstration of a new model with that name

Daimler 1504 (GOE 504) was withdrawn from BCT service in 1962 and sold as part of a batch to Richardson, Oldbury who was a commercial vehicle dealer and scrap merchant (and with his brother later became a property magnate - bought the old Round Oak steel works, demolished it and built the Merry Hill Shopping Centre on the site).
It was bought by Superb Coaches, Birmingham in July 1962 and although your black and white photograph does not show that the former Birmingham blue was repainted Post Office Red, you can see that there is no city coat-of-arms or fleet number on the side.
It finally was sold for scrap to Bird's of Stratford in September 1963.
