  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

A Hockley Lass
I have a picture, from my late Grandfather's collection, of a group of men about to set off for an outing.
Can anyone shed a bit of light as to where they are starting from. I have zoomed in on the top left hand corner of the photo, but sadly cannot make out what it says.
My Grandfather and family originated from Legge Street and Brearley Street / Summer Lane area

The sign to the upper left of the photo says Mitchells and Butlers, so that cuts the search down a little.
