Book: First Blood - An insight into Scotland's Forgotten Prize-fighting History by Tony Geem

I first had contact with Tony Gee many years ago when I was researching my Great Uncle Joe who was born in Ryland Street, Birmingham in 1856 and later moved to Frankfort Street. Joe Woolley or 'Our Joe', as he was known in the family, became a bare-knuckle boxer and emigrated to America in the 1880's. Without Tony's help I would have found little or no information about him. His research is painstaking and if anyone thinks they may have Scottish pugilists in their family then this is the book for them.
