I am looking for some potential assistance in tracing the following three Olympic athletes from many years ago who from, or were associated with clubs in Birmingham.
Thus far I have unfortunately hit dead ends while searching available online newspapers for any additional identifying info like age, occupation, relatives, residence etc, so I am hoping that someone here might be able to assist in some other way. Any help would be greatly appreciated!
They are as follows:
J Harris, Gymnastics, 1920 Antwerp. Member of Birmingham and District Amateur Gymnastics Association.
Frank 'Tiny' Cole, Basketball, 1948 London. Member of Birmingham Dolobran and YMCA basketball clubs from the 1930s-1940s. Member of the English national team in the late 1930s and was a member of the British Eurobasket team in 1946. Likely born in the 1910s or late 1900s.
Colin (C L) Hunt, Basketball, 1948 London. Also a longtime member of the English national team/Birmingham Dolobran through the 1930s and 1940s, alongside Hunt. Likely born in the 1910s or late 1900s.
