  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

Thought I would share these family photos partying after the war around mid Fifties. My wifes family Moseley / Kings Heath area. Did'nt they look sophisticated in those days. Times where just starting to get better!!

Thanks for sharing Bob . Nobody seem to hold these sort of parties nowadays. Mind you modern houses are built for gatherings, so small.

These photos I know little about. My mrs can be seen in one as a very young girl on the extreme left of the picture so I reckon its a family gathering of some sort in the mid fifties, Halesowen area. Not so sophisticated as you party Bob. I would say the beer is flowing and the humour is very much of The Goons style. Must have been one hell of a party.
