Birmingham connections (1901-1940) jacob winter part 4

YETTA ISON
PHILLIP KAPLAN’S SISTER IN LAW FEBRUARY 1908-Phillip was married to Jacob Winter's sister-Rosa.

We now know that Yetta Ison was a Winter and thus most likely Rose Winter’s half sister. Natalie Lamb suspects that Yude Winter married twice. Firstly, he married Ryfka Bryks and then Rachael.
Yetta (Betsy) Winter was born in 1867.

Phillip Kaplan referred to her husband Louis Izon as brother in law in a shipping document which would imply that she is related closely to Rosa Winter (half sister). In 1891 Yetta was living in Whitechapel but by 1901 the family was in Birmingham.

There is an Estera Winter born to Haskiel Winter and Sura Blejch/Sora Brajna Blajchman) on 5th July, 1866 in Kramsk, Poland. Ester sometimes was changed to Yetta, Hettie. This family is the ancestors of the New York Winters from Kramsk and is another albeit slim possibility for Yetta’s ancestry. Note also the similarity of Blejch to Mark Winter’s(possible brother of Jacob Winter) mother’s maiden name. So far we have no proven connection between the New York family(Haskiel Winter descendants) and the Birmingham one.

Natalie has located a Dawid Winter born in 1862 to Yuda Winter and Ryfka Bryks in Kramsk and enabled us to suggest that Yetta Winter was a half sister to Jacob.

Other possible half brothers and sisters are:
Maiers (Isaac) Winter born in 1858. See Maiers Winter
Yetta (Betsy) Winter born in 1867. See above
Aaron Winter (Maiers brother) was a Tailor born in 1869. He was living with Maiers in Birmingham in 1891.
Possible Brother:
Marks Winter was born in 1874 to Rose Bluch and Abram Winter. Jacob Winter called him his brother in a shipping document. See USA Winter Connections and Jacob Winter Write up.

Possible Brothers who died in the concentration camps:
Ber Winter born in 1875
Dov Winter born in 1880

We can compare with known brothers and sisters:
Shimon Winter born in 1875
Jacob Winter born in 20th October, 1878
Rosa Winter born in 1884
