My Great Grandfather Thomas Baker had a brass foundry on Cheapside founded about 1880. When his sons came of age it became Baker & Sons. After his death it became Baker Brothers and later the business was taken on by my Grandfather Herbert Henry Baker. From Cheapside he moved to 152 Mary St, Balsall Heath which had facilities for a small factory behind the house. I understand they manufactured brass fittings for safes. Apart from what my Mother was able to tell me I know nothing and would like to verify the details but not sure how to go about this. She did get somewhat confused sometimes and versions tended to change. If anyone could point me in the right direction I would be very grateful.
