Hello All

My husband and his sister always believed that their Father had been brought up in Barnardo's, where he was learnt to box, and when he left he worked on a farm in Gloucestershire.

Wrote to Barnardo's with all the details, but have just recieved a letter back saying they can find no records of him or one of his sisters who we think was with him.
I noticed on this site the mention of a St Barnabas childrens home. Can anyone tell me if it was anywhere near Aston where the family lived. The years 1914 till 1932 are the ones I am interested, Also would there be records for it.
It was just a idea that maybe St Barnabas and Banardo's as they sound a bit the same have been mixed up over the years.
Thanks for any thoughs
