Albion Inn

Does anyone have any info/stories on the Albion Inn in Aston as my husbands father was a barman there in the 60's? Thanks
Dear Sue,
My Mom's family - The Palmers lived at 43 Johnson Street, Nechells and The Albion pub was located on the opposite corner. It was ALWAYS referred to as "The Empty" because, I guess it was always so? I remember my uncle Albert like many of the locals would often pop across and fetch a drink of beer in a large white jug. I remember a large sign high on the side of the pub stating "THE ALBION" under which someone had painted in large letters....THE VILLA.. Brian Nicholls.
