Brummie Tour Guide
Does anyone have any information on the building on Ludgate Hill, Jewellery Quarter please. Was it a Masonic Lodge and do you know what's to become of the building as it looks like its under repair at the moment.

I am not quite sure which building you mean.
Is it this one on the corner of Lionel Street and Ludgate Hill?

That's the one on the corner. Thanks for the input. Anyone know why a foundation stone would be laid with full masonic rites by Sir William Wiley, Provincial Grand Master for Warwickshire May 20th 1939.

No explanation as to the masonic nature of the ceremony (or in another two reports on the home), but, at that time masonic organisations did often donate money to good causes, and then , of course, with no NHS, this would have been a good cause
