The glazed, wooden addition must have been removed and a new building put up in its place - I think, but not entirely sure as the structures all look old on the St Vincent Street side. . Viv

Here is a photo i took in 2016 from a similar position. I think the glasshouse was just removed , and you can just about see the older buildings behind the glasshouse on the older photo

Moving on now to roll 68 this is a varied selection so hopefully these are new to you.

First up is 69 -74 Staniforth Street in 1961, children playing out on the street - there is a pram in front of the left hand front window, nice lamp and a fine selection of chimneys and chimney pots.

next we have the Alhambra Cinema Moseley Road in 1974, not sure if it was still a cinema then , there a few cars parked but they could be for anywhere, although there are pictures on the poster boards.

now were are looking at Easy Row in 1954, apologies for the quality of the picture, it is a scan, of a negative, of a photo of possibly another photo.

We now return to pubs with the White Swan, High Street, Erdington 1958. Unusual layout of the buildings and a McDougals flour advert on the side of the building.

another dark picture which I have tempted to rescue - High Street Bordesley in 1949, plenty of overhead wires as well as tram tracks, selection of lamps, and a few bollards, also note the spread of cobblestones.

The next picture is of the The Kings Norton Cinema in 1967, advertising a film but also Bingo nights. nice brickwork and sash windows, are the long strips between the windows light tubes? The arch frontage is interesting too.

Last up, Northwood Street Baths, presumably in Northwood Street, and now used by the Theatre Seat Company. The picture was taken in 1953 and presumably long gone, and a nice car in the front.

It is still listed in the 1973 Kellys, so was still showing films in about 1972

This looks like one of the old tram Sheds/depots

This appears to be (not 100% certain) the Rock Spring Works originally occupied from around 1903 by Camwal Ltd. (aerated water manufacturers), the building was still standing in 2021.

The more I look at pic 179022 , it reminds me the road /Street on the left is a section of Navigation St and the road /street coming off it is the bottom part of Hill St , isn't that the old Queens Hotel at what I think is Navigation St

For those folk who do not know what a Bundy Clock looked like the are threads with them on BHF. The more modern photo, at Scott Arms only show the base - the clock itself has been removed.

Here is a view down Newhall Street on 16th May 1992, showing the setting up of the steam gathering, which used to be held annually.
Its an interesting shot as it shows the activity ( low loaders, cars, smoke) that goes into the start of these events which the visitors do not see.

Also linked with this event was a street run which included St. Pauls Square, here we see a London Routemaster bus on the square, with many people hanging off the platform at the rear.

If you turn around you get this next picture which is looking down Mary Ann Street - the bridge is carrying the line out of Snow Hill Station, with the various factories lining the road.

This is an old building standing in Caroline Street again just up from the square on the north side this time, building is still there and like most buildings in this location looking much tidier

We go back onto St Pauls Square to look back to Caroline Street. This is the other side of the road to the previous picture ie where the photographer was standing. Although there was much industry the building with the circle is now an engineering consultant.

It would be rude not to include a picture of St. Pauls church this tree lines square with the church in the centre has had visits of many of the Midland industrial greats of the time.

Just noticed that I did not finish Roll A70, I stopped as it was getting late and I was making mistakes but forgot to finish the roll!
So this is The all Saints Tavern Lodge Road in 1963, one of those fine Tiled frontages with the lamps, I like the cart in the road and the old style fencing to the right

This is the Moseley Road Cinema - Moseley Road funnily enough, taken in 1957, I like the tobacconist/ sweet shop to the left. The Film " The Lusty Men" I did check carefully is a Cowboy film from 1952 so is the date right?

When we were kids at secondary school there was a Bundy clock at the terminus not far from our school , once the driver had turned the key he we asked if he could stamp our hand on the bottomm part of the key where the pattern is cut in were numbers identifying the driver status and the key print would be printed on your hand .

My mentor remembers this pub very well as he was only a lad when he used to play around here .
