  • HI folks the server that hosts the site completely died including the Hdd's and backups.
    Luckily i create an offsite backup once a week! this has now been restored so we have lost a few days posts.
    im still fixing things at the moment so bear with me and im still working on all images 90% are fine the others im working on now
    we are now using a backup solution

    My Dad worked for Hughes Biscuits, he was a driver, when the 2nd war broke out he left and joined the army, he would have worked there sometime from1930 to 1939. He never took a driving test in those days and was a driver all his life.

    It is interesting reading the notes, I think my Dad could have gone to this school. Would there be any records saves as to who had attended. My Dad was Walter Wentworth Morris born 16th Sept. 1915 so he was perhaps at the school from 1920.

    Please can anyone help my find the schools my dad would have attended, He lived 245 St. Andrews Road Aston, he was born 1915. He pass his school cert. exam. but his dad said he couldn't go to grammar school because he couldn't afford the things he would need.

    Hi, I am not sure if there was signage over the shop, they lived at the same place 245 St. Andrews Road from 1906 until Granddad Henry died in 1963 Grandmother died in 1952 so maybe the shop no was longer in use. I just don't know any details, sorry
