Hello Joe,
I am John Green 134 Aston Brook Street . I remember you well and John Moore, Peter Scrivens & Pauline who lived next to Dillons shop. Holmes family are cousins.
John.

Brilliant post..........heres Aston Brook St in 1939.......our relatives are in 126...think Doris worked in the cycle factory...they later moved to 20 Tower Road. I wonder if anyone knows the Bayley or Rice families...also Overton which was Alice's maiden name.
At 134 were the large Haycock family.

That’s horrendous, so somebody deliberately hacked the site and destroyed everyone’s photo as a memories. How could someone be so violent and so better. Thank you, Lyn

hi sandy it was dreadful...we lost over 66000 images and since then have been striving to replace them..of course we can only do this if the original posters still have those images and they are still members of the forum and we do rely on members letting us know if they cant view the photos..so if you cant view any just let us know and we will see if they can be replaced...

Hi Lyn

Did we ever find out the nature of this? Why it was done? Who done it? Did we have any suspicions? That is a lot a serious lot of photographs to lose that’s people’s history. It doesn’t even make sense to eradicate our history like that. Or maybe it does. Or maybe they’re just idiots spiteful. I’m trying to find photographs of Aston Brook Street. I lived at 24. The houses have changed on the frontage now. The original steps and front doors as it was before would be amazing. Anything around that area, Chester Street, Hubert Street Holland Road the entrance onto the canal where we used to have to run over the 2 foot wide stone path. The old factories. Parvin and Harvey. The old timber Mill or the old co yard with the big red gate. Anything Lin would be so appreciated by me and my family there were five of us and we are all still here. We just lost our mother. She was 90. Kathleen Connor, a lovely Irish lady. This is triggered Our Heart to search for our past because it was brilliant living there so dangerous but so much fun looks like we lived in industrial estate we didn’t realise when we were younger. Anyway, thank you so much. If you have any luck with anything, let me know please.

just a spiteful idiot sandy...since then we have stepped up our security in the hopes it never happens again..but just like pheonix we rose from the ashes and started again :) ...i have noted the names of streets etc that you are searching and later on i will go through my files to see if i have any of use to you..if i do i will post them on here for you...
