Can anyone help with the following, I cannot read the street name possibly Saint M?? Street

Looks like St. Marks Street to me.

The address is from All Saints Medical records for a patient that was admitted by a friend

ok thanks..without a name and age its difficult to check any further..try searching the census year nearest to the year the person was a patient...the address could be the same and maybe clearer

I don't think first and third words are the same.
Looks like St for Saint and perhaps Ct for Court

Just found some properties on 1875-6 eroll that are called St Marks Cottages in St Marks treet. Could that last 2 letters mean "cottages"?

Thank you for the information, the lady I was researching was Kate Carter she was admitted to All Saints Hospital 15th December 1876 by her friend Ann ??banks ? who lived at 12 C, 1 H, St Marks Cottages ?? (the more I look at it it could be cottages)

cant be sure if kate was in and out as a patient but on the 1881 census she was at all saints reading her case notes it looks like in jan 1882 she was removed to rubery

St Marks Cottages labelled red. Court 12 marked yellow.

I think she died in 1884. This record shows she was admitted to Rubery in Jan 1882 and died 7 April 1884

so young jan...as we know in those days they just didnt know how to help people even with something like epilepsy and fits etc...the same applies to any other mental issues...we have come a long way since then
