Who built 1930s semi detached houses in Birmingham? - I read somewhere it was a family ran business on the Alum Rock Road in Saltley.

I doubt there was only one builder. Did you have any particular houses in mind?

The 1940's semi I lived in, in Birmingham, was built by G. Stubbings, who I believe were based in Erdington.

This looks like a sixties property advert for Dare’s. My Dad was working as a carpenter in Cubbington at that time and travelled daily to there from Bordesley Green. I think he may have been working for them.
