77 Ladypool Road, Sparkbrook, Birmingham

[Down Memory Lane]

Hi all, having been born in Sorrento Maternity Hospital, Moseley in 1961, I started life at 77 Ladypool Road, Sparkbrook.

Whilst I have a picture of what it looks like now (new houses) I’d love a picture of the house I started life in during 1961 onwards.

It’s more or less opposite 80 Ladypool Avenue.

Can anybody help me? I’ve included a picture of the current 77 Ladypool Road for reference.

Interesting to see that the “new” number 77 has been moved up the street from the old one.

As there were no Google maps back then I guess the chances of getting a street view picture are slim to none, but even being able to see this shot is amazing to me, it’s the first time I’ve seen it

this is where i think no 77 would have been..click on todays st view below also click on the next map link and keep your eye on no 77 then move the blue dot to the left and the map will fade out to show you what is there now... note that tillingham street has now gone completely but its easy to work out that no 77 would have been on the land where the first 2 new properties lie from just up where tillingham st would have been...lyn
