Hi wumbly I didn't live there in alleyne rd ,but my nan carpenter was a member of alleyne church and my GT aunt Ethel,they would bring me and my brother eagle wings every wed and I could write bible stories to win a certificate to reward us for our hard bible story work the vicar of the church ran the caretakers job at witton cemetery for years and we always went to the Christmas party and get a nice present good old childhood days in the 60s and 70s
