Hi, I am trying to find out if there is any information as to my dad’s family who I believe lived in the Perry Barr area of brum in the 40/50s. He was James Stanley Homer of the Homer family. Thanks in advance. Adr
 
The electoral roll for 1952 shows a James S, Homer , with a Florence, M and Joan L. Homer at 32 Aldridge Road. The online rolls do not cover every year, and sometimes initials ar omitted, but there seems to be no other James S Homer in that period listed in those years that are available (1945,1947,1950,1955, 1957 and 1960)

What info are you looking for?

Further to Mike's info, on the 1939 Register they are listed at 237 Wilton St. George Homer married Florence May Evans in 1912. Daughter Leah appears to named after a sister of George.
 
Thanks to all. It looks like it could be my dad’s address as I can always remember him talking about villa park and am pretty sure he had a sister Joan. Will keep looking
 
He did have a sister Joan - Joan Leah (sorry I missed the Joan off) b1926 d1985.. Never married.

He also had 2 brothers and another sister - George Frederick b1912, Edna May b1915 and Victor b1920.

Thank you for the information. It does fit in with my dad’s age (sadly passed away in 2008) and I know he had a sister Joan, never talked very much about his upbringing. He moved to Northern Ireland in the 50’s married and moved back to England about 58/59. Thanks again for your help.
