Thank you PJM. I've found a number of offences committed by Catherine McKenna... and now here's another. Her misdemeanours mount up quickly and make the Peaky Blinders look like milk monitors by comparison!
 
I think you're getting to the heart of what a rascal this lady was! It's certainly entertaining my wife to see what kind of stock I'm from!
I assume you have seen the records on Ancestry?
The June 1890 clipping says she was sentenced to 12 months with hard labour. That's why I think it is her in Warwick prison.

There's also a Catherine McKenna at Peter McKenna's 116 Bromsgrove Street address in 1901 who gives her birthplace as 'Atlantic Ocean'!!! I suspect that someone's contempt for questions had got the better of her!

I think she is your Catherine, Peter's mother.

My gut instinct ('no fixed abode') says this isn't him but I'm very very grateful for the detective work. Thank you.

There could be a number of reasons why he did not give an address - not to bring shame on his family, a temporary split from his wife.
