Stevens Café Jewellery Quarter

knowlegable brummie
Hi! My great grandparents (Alice and William Stevens) ran a café in the Jewellery Quarter in (I assume around the 1930s) and they had 3 children. Is there anywhere I could research this? I don't know the name or anything but wondered if there were any pictures anywhere? Thank you!

He is listed at 3 Great King Street in 1938 but not 1939.
just to confirm your info jan and add a bit more..thanks to mikejee for the extra info and from me a map showing no 3 gt king st which looked like a large property..click on link below hope this helps

The coffee shop disappeared between the 1939 and 1940 directories. nothing is listed for no 3 , in 1940-1947, but in 1949 it is listed as a jewellery manufacturer. Probably missed out in war , and after for security purposes as was thought to be important to war effort

No 3 king St
1932 No 3 not listed
1933 Listed as William Henley, coffee room
1936-1938 listed as William H. Stevens, coffee room
1939 listed as Norman Percy Perry, coffee room
