this time at the cost of the speedway venue at perry barr....i find it incredible that yet more housing is going to built while the hundreds of apartments opposite the speedway still lie empty over 2 years since completed...

Lyn, you are absolutely right! It seems like the inmates are running the asylum as far as housing development is concerned. Is the housing government funded or privately funded?

Just think of it this way: someone has been paying for those empty apartments for two years, carrying the insurance (I hope) maintenance, heating etc. sounds like a government funded deal to me and the person build at the dirt track knows something we don’t or is very foolish!

There needs to be an audit of that transaction. The populace deserves to know what and how their taxes are being spent!

Then why are building permits being issued for more houses?
we cant get too political and i dont want to blow ones own trumpet but when the plans were published for the so called olympic village some of us said it would be yet another white elephant..this has proved to be true..my point about this is that there are so many genuine people out there desperate for housing and yet so many new builds lie empty so will this new venture end up the same...time will tell..it just makes no sense to me
