Hi all.Got a new DT 125mx from King's on Bristol Street in 1982.Cost £680.00.Got one in my garage now as an investment as anyone who knows these bikes knows how good they are.Used to love going round the bike shops in the early 80s.Copes,Vale Onslow,Chas Mann,Birmingham Motorcycles,Bastables,Hailwoods and others were my usual haunts on a Saturday and Sunday with my mates.Happy days.

I seem to remember looking around in Copes on the corner of Coventry Rd & Bowyer St back in the 60s. Don't know if it was Chas E Cope though.

F Worley, in boldmere. Bought my first Honda Superdream from there , in the early 70s. What a bike that was, absolutely indestructible, regardless of the poor press they got from people who owned crotch rockets. Had to sell it, when times were hard, and kids were about:(:sob:

That is such a good looking bike!
I do remember in 1969 at the end of the school (university) year, we were about to get married, a friend who was graduating bought a 1000cc Kawasaki 4 cylinder. He took me for a ride then let me ride it. Took my breath away! When you ride a “rice rocket” it’s had to look at anything else.
I get that Richard, it is what it is, as the yanks say.
I've had fast bikes, and cruisers and all sorts, but I keep going back, to ,as you say, the look.
Then there's the smell of the bike shop, but thats another thread:D
