Anyone recognise this church entrance

Happy New Year all. Had some spare time the last few days and jumped back on my family history. I have this old photo, I think judging by some of the younger children it may be about 1906ish. I can identify most people in the photo. The majority been my great grand parents, however I'm at a loss to who the elderly couple are that have just got married. So I thought I might try and narrow it down a bit by identifying the church. I'm guessing it is in inner Birmingham as this is where my family lived, but I do not recognise the church entrance. To me it seems quite a large church, but as yet unable to identify it. Any thoughts how i go about this? Thanks20231231_164543.jpg

If you knew the names of the bride and groom then it may have been possible to find their marriage certificate online - many Birmingham church records are on Ancestry and FMP.

Do you know roughly where your great grandparents and other family members lived? My family were married at St George's Edgbaston, Kings Norton and St Martins. I don't think this is the main door, though could be St George's cross each side? Do you know where any of the children were baptised?

I dont know who the couple are, so i thought I would work backwards. My great grand mother and great grand father are in the picture. I have looked at their parents and none were around then, only a widow mother who never re-married. It just seemed strange that there is this photo and i am not sure who it is of. I presume, as my family are on the brides side, it must be the lady that is related some how. My family lived around the Aston / Lozells area.

Tricky to match it with another church with so little to go on and it could be one that has been demolished - such as St George's, Hockley - which has only a few pictures.

Trying to find the marriage may be possible if the couple are related but could be time consuming depending how many relations you have to trace. If the couple are just friends then you've wasted your time. Is it just your great grandparents in the photo or are there other relatives as well?

Possibly second marriage for bride and groom? Are their children or grandchildren in the photo? Or a brother/ sister?

Lots of big churches in Lozells and Aston, including some redundant or demolished.

Hello thank you for your interest. My grand parentd are right hand side. Middle lady is my g grand mother. Her husband and his brother are top right and I think the lady on outside is also related to my g grandmother. Their small children are also there. So it seems as if it must be close relations as they have their own siblings in the photo. . . . one of ancestry mysteries !!! :)
