Thanks for posting this. I have a few of these plans for the Black Country and they are very useful. Most were produced for discussion at board meeting during which members could visually check on the competition and viability of any future business. The licensing justices would also have such a plan to help with any recommendation or approval of licence applications.

Really interesting maps. When I ran the Boars Head in Perry Barr there was a cellar there that contained racks of plans of Ansells pubs. They were similar to what you might see in an art shop where paintings are held in a v shaped stand and you could 'leaf' through them, as I remember. I imagine that they would have been transferred elsewhere when the pub closed. Ansells head office was just over the road in Tamebridge House.

I don't know whether this is the right place for this post, just to say one of the messages I got today from Birmingham LIve . The general manager of The Woodman in Digbeth says "we're still here" this is almost a cry for help as I understand it due to the modifications in and around Brum due to HS2 . Certainly sad when businesses have to suffer .
