Morning all. 1st time on the forum and wondering if anyone had any recollection or information on number 9 Silver Street during the late 50’s and 60’s. The Dawson family, especially Sylvia Mary who would have been a teenager at that time. Many thanks.

HI, yes i remember a family called Dawson who live in the top end of Silver street, not sure of the number though, my friend was Eddy Dawson, he hung around in Kings Heath park with lots of other kids.

The Silver Street Silver Jubilee Street party was reported in detail in June 1977. This article might interest former residents and anyone who remembers the Silver Jubilee. All extracts from British NewspaperArchives.

No Lyn it was decommissioned in the 60s and moved to a brand new station in Brook Lane Billesley. The original image was a poor b&w copy which i sharpened and colourised. Regards.
