I would be very pleased with any information for the poeple mentioned below.
William Allen ( he was born in Dronfield around 1817 and I can't get any further with him) and Louisa Bird's Family. Her father was William Bird, chemist.
William amd then his son William had an iron Foundry business known as the Washington Foundry. They had a nmber of Parners including Nash and Morgan
Also William's son:
Alfred Allen b 1848 and his wife Hannah Hunt b. !850 both in Birmingham
Hannah's father was Henry Hunt and I have reached a dead end with reserching him ( there is difference between the 1851 est of d.o.b. being 1813 and the 1861 estimate being 1820).
I have more information about all of these but would be grateful for anything you can offer me.

many thanks Penny

Hi,

Your response was sent to my in box, so it works!

It does seem coincidental but my Louisa Bird was most definitely ( lots evidence) married to my 3x great grandfather William Allen so they can't be the same.

Thanks anyway

Hi
Have you seen the IGI Christening record for William Allen 17 Mar 1816 Dronfield, Derby Mother Juliet Father George Allen or do you mean you can't get any further with him in the Census records:)
There's also a possible sibling to William. George Allen christened 12 Dec 1824 Born 27 Oct 1824 same parents.
