Hawkins Ada - book reference

Hello, I've been reading this forum for quite a few months and have learned a great deal from the forum about life in Birmingham, which has brought to life a lot of interesting stories about how my family lived. So I would firstly like to thank everyone for their fascinating contributions! I'm currently tracing my family roots - our family names were Hawkins and Brooke, and largely lived in Smethwick and Ladywood areas. My great aunt Ada Hawkins wrote a passage about her father, that appeared in the book "Where Three Shires Met: Reminiscences from the Thimblemill & Bearwood areas of Smethwick" and I currently have a copy of just part of her contribution! I wondered if there might be someone on this forum who might have a copy of the book and would be willing to send me the second half of her story? I believe it's page 22 I'm missing. It seems silly to buy the book (currently £15 for a second hand copy) for what I think is just a few paragraphs, if I can help it! Thanks in advance to anyone who can help.

Doesn’t seem to be any cheap copies about, but you could try the local library after lockdown. You can search the library catalogues online.

hi deborah and welcome....i am sure if any of our members have that book they would only be too happy to help you with the missing part...fingers crossed
