Clock in or near Garrison Lane, Birmingham 9

I glimpsed it very briefly from the car the other day when visiting, and it was very familiar. The tower is not very tall, and I think that part of it is dark green. When I lived there (in Witton Street) I used to see it every day. It's probably attached to some sort of small factory. Very trivial, but can anyone tell me anything about it?

Maria,

Would this be the clock you are talking about? It used to be on top of the Rover Works (Garrison St) canteen and was in that little side street I think it was Langden St or something like that. Before that I suppose it belonged to Wrights Ropes.

The clock did belong to Wrights Ropes, if I remember rightly it was on top of the canteen building. Where the tram and bus is in the picture was a crossroads and is now a whopping great roundabout. Opposite and to the right of the building is Garrison Lane park and just further up from it was Garrison Lane Infants school. As a further point of interest the Garrison Tavern is just up the road from it, now starring in Peaky Blinders.

I used to play in the park and went to school with the girl whose parents ran the pub in the 1960s - I find some of Peaky Blinders a bit disturbing!!
