Arthur married Violet Floyd in 1952. I know all about Violet bt can find nothing about Arthur that I can be 100% certain of. Can anyone please help.
 
Hi SBS, probably best to obtain a copy of their marriage certificate as this will give you Arthur Dangerfield.s main details
plus occupation, place married from and his fathers name and occupation,

FreeBMD has Quarterly sections missing from 1952,,,can someone look up Arthur & Violet to assist 1st poster,, Cheers J

I have the references to their marriage but I was hoping that I may hit upon somebody who may be related to them or may have known them... oh well perhaps the only way forward is going to be get the card out and purchase the certificate...

Hi Sue,,yep seems the only 100% certain way but asking on here is always a good idea so leave your post
to circulate on list so others may jog memories & come up with some Dangerfields,

ps If you put "Dangerfield" in the advanced search box( top right corner) there are 8 hits(posts & replies)
including one from a Carl Dangerfield,,,,check through these,,hopefully may provide a link to your Arthur

i can see that arthur and violet dangerfield were living at 55 dolpin rd. sparkhill in 1955. arthur was living there from 1945 but unfortunately he was on his own. i was hoping that his parents or siblings might be with him to give you a clue! shera
 
i notice that by 1960 violet dangerfield was on her own at the same address. do you know - did they divorce or had arthur died??
 
hi sue, info from the midlands historical data electoral rolls. i see that violet was born in the 1892 then, so the arthur dangerfield born 1888 bham with parents harriett and james dangerfield could be the parents. i thought it might not be that arthur dangerfield as the marriage was so late in life. on the 1911 census harriett is a widow aged 62 born worc.
 
i meant to add that there is a death of a arthur dangerfield in 1959 in bham born 1888. so that would fit with the electoral rolls
