Ta, True, some of the Memorials near the Main building have/are being moved ready for the new build to start early next year.

Due to the large number of missing images on this thread I would like to tidy it up and remove any posts that are now not relevant.
If any members have original images that were posted on this thread before the hacking or copies of any of the missing images I would be pleased to re-post them if they send a copy to me, as I understand that some members have had problems replacing lost images.
I believe this thread is an important one and all attempts should be made to reinstate those missing images

Hi Dave, when I went to Alrewas with Stephanie I purchased the latest Guide book, it was £6.50 and full of coloured photos of the different sites.Wonder how long the new buildings will take? Not sure how the eight million appeal is doing, cheers now Bernard

Thanks, was there for this Service

Absolutely Brilliant Dave, you have been a busy, busy, bee!The forum is extremely lucky to have a person with such expertise on hand at the NMA site to capture all the events.Last weekend was of course the highlight of the Remembrance year and you certainly made an excellant record of it, cheers now, all the best, Bernard

Thank you Dave, I hang my head in humble thanks, to those very brave Tars, and to the other hundreds who paid the ultimate price for all our freedoms we enjoy today.

Dave I knew it would be bad over there, the Burton road was closed twice, once in Elford then again at the Catton Turn, but hadn't thought it would flood the Arboretum that much.
I hope it hasn't damaged any of the memorials too badly.
Lets hope we have seen the last of the heavy rain for a while, to let it settle.
Thanks for the pics, Sue

The Memorials lets hope so,, trees they do replace, at the Basra Memorial the water was up to the arm rest on a bench. more rain late Saturday.

It's awful I have never seen the floods so bad. The River Anchor burst at Alrewas such a pity but I am sure everything will be fine. I can't remember the river bursting there before.

My son and daughter-in-law used to live in a barn conversion over the road from the Arboretum at Croxall. It flooded twice and is probably flooded again - thank god they moved out!

Won't have gone down much last night with all the rain, the tame is still high, the Castle Grounds are still under water here although you can just see the tops of the benches this afternoon, so a bit of an improvement.
Sue

Thanks dave. still worth going ,, their is a lot of water but not all over the site..

keny last time there last Friday morning, just to have the water in my pics, and some posted on to the Stonemasons who built some of the memorials.
