I've already found out a lot about my Father's side of my family but I know little of my mom's side.

Her Name was Lily Bate or Bates liiving at 3 Bromley street 1929 when she got married. Her dad was George Bates. Any information would be gratefuly received.Thanks:)
 
Hi Frothblower, is it definitely Bate/s ?? the only Birmingham marriage I can see for 1929 was Lily I Batey m. Evans

Lily Bates married Alfred Kilmister at St. Bartholomew's Church 26th December 1927. Does that help. Not 1929 and maybe not Bromley street sorry
 
No problem Frothblower :) Thought I'd just take a look and see if I could find any clues for you..not sure if you have their marriage cert or not ? but do you know Lily's fathers occupation ? as there may be 4 possiblities.
Also do you remember any of your Aunts and Uncles on your Moms side ??

Yes I have their Marriage certificate. Lily's dad was George Bates, Coal Carter and one of Lily's sisters was Violet Groom

i'm the one that linda has been in contact with you about. i did not know about lily as i have not yet seen the 1911 census record. lily was my grandfathers sister. his name was arthur bate. nice to speak to you. i guess you would be my 1st cousin once removed.

Hello cous how are you. Nice to meet a long lost rele.
Amazing what Lynne as done for me in a short time. I only asked about about my mom's family on a whim.
