Hi I am I am now looking into Rose Crump born 1881 she was married to John Martin Curley in 1907. I have found a line of Crump's where they have a Rose who was 2months in 1881.it said she was born in Birmingham When we get to 1901 she is off the census form but I find a Rose Crump who is a servant in 1901 but she is down as being born in Oldbury, do you think that this could be the same Rose?.
Dorothy.

Hi Dorothy

You might already have these details --

Birth: Rose Crump 1st qtr 1881 Birmingham 6d 44

Marriage:
Rose Crump/John Martin Curley 1st qtr 1907 Aston 6d 611

If you already have these cert's it would help if you gave us the details from the birth cert, parents names etc.
The census in 1881 was taken on the 3rd April so that one you found could be the correct one if the parents names match.

Hi Dorothy

I had a look for the birth of J M Curley and fond two in the time period BUT --

John Martin Curley 1st qtr 1883 Wolverhampton 6b 677

John Martin Curley 1st qtr 1883 Aston 6d 357

I then looked at the 1901 census, i found one in 17 Freeman Road, Aston with his parents, the other was a Private in the Infantry, Whittington Regimental Depot, Bilston, Staffordshire.

What i would suggest is you get the marriage cert, it will have the name of the father of John on there and will also tell you "Rank or Profession" of John and we will then know which of the two she married, if it was the "Private" it could explain the 1901 census for Rose.

Thanks Bren for your help it looks like I will have to get the marriage certificate to get the right family. I have been working on the assumption that it is the John Martin from Freeman Road Aston as thats the area the family lived in.
