Sincere apologies to all, I now know I am at a funny age but 10 out of 10 Phil for bringing it to my attention and I now remember why I needed to ban Lloyd from this one. I think I shall now go for a quiet lie down with a drop of Sanatogen at my elbow.
By the way, where am I?
Mike
Mike I've just had a red bull but nothings happening yet. Energy drink we will see. I remember this photo but not the location. Will keep trying. Jean.
OOOPs a bit off thread but that's what Judy has just had. I am only drinking them as they were part of a raffle prize. Right back to the quiz. Is that spring Hill Mike?. Jean.
Thank you for the interest in this thread but because I overlooked that it has already appeared before, I think it only fair to give the location. It is the now gone Old Meeting Street that originally ran from Dudley Street (opposite Hinckley Street) to the top end of Station Street. It was lost during the building of the Midland Red Bull Ring Bus Station. The orginal photo shown below has been marked to show the location and appeared in the thread referrred to by pmc1947. Again my apologies for my error in posting this item and thanks Phil for bringing it to my attention.
Mike.
Mike sent me this picture ages ago, before he graced us here with his presence, to try to find where it was. It took me ages to work out, only the sight of two of the legs which carry the office block over the Smallbrook Ringway end of Hurst Street allowed me to plan by the distance away and the angle of the building, and an old city centre map, where it was.
