In August 1910, my grandfather and his wife had my mother at 41 Myrtle Rd., Acton. His wife, Claudia nee Cooper. Can find no records about either of them and he was not the house holder in the Kellys about that time. Any info would be welcomed. Will also post under 'Cooper'

Thank you both. I have no idea as I have such little to go on. All I know from my mothers bith certificate was her fther was Ernest Snell, (no middle name given) and her mother was Claudia Snell, formerly Cooper. By 1932 when mother married, her father was deceased and had been a 'Chaufeur'. I have not been able to find any birth, marriage or death entries for either of them. I would guess that in 1910 they might have bothe been about 20 to 25 years and I do not know if my mother had ant siblings. I am waiting for the 1911 census next year to try to find the 'family unit' and it they were still at Acton and living with whom, if any one else.

Yes, as above, name on Birth Certificate shows 'Claudia' Mother's birth entry found, Annie' 3rd Q; 1910.

Further to my original posting, I have now found the following children to the Snell/Snell (nee Cooper) Family.

Son Peter R Snell b. Jun 1916
Daughter Nora N. Snell b. Mar 1918; both Registered Maidenhead and,
Son Harry Snell b. Jun 1919 and registered Crediton

Anyone have any later info on any of these children as they would be my Aunt and Uncles.

From what you have found i would assume that the Acton you mentioned earlier would be the one in London W3, Chiswick and i notice there is a Myrtle Rd there.
There are a number of places around the country called Acton.

The registration district for the Acton in London is Brentford, i could be wrong but was your mothers name Annie O C Snell

Yes, all correct. (Note: Mum is still with us, but knows nothing about siblins as she was 'fostered out' at an early age.

Have now established that the family continued to grow in Maidenhead, (2) then again in Crediton. Further marriages and births to those marriages in Plymouth, Devon. Still nothing on the Cooper/Snell front though.

Re Message #6: Although the children were born to A Mr & Mrs Snell, nee Cooper, birth certificate confirms that this is NOT the same family.
