Charles Birbeck

Jules65

master brummie
My grandfather was Charles James Lewis Birbeck. He married my nan Selina Heath at Aston Villa Wesleyn Chapel on 9th June 1923.

His address at the time of marriage was 31 Nursery Road, Aston.

His father was a Charles Stephen Birbeck (deceased)

His occupation was a telephone mechanic G.P.O.

If anyone could find any information about this family I would be grateful.

Thank you.

sorry replied to other thread by mistake

Chris, thank you for the information you posted on the other thread. British Guiana - wonder how Charles J L's sister was born there. Could his father has been there in the army?

This family seems quite well to do? Do you think that's a correct assumption? Solihull was deemed as posh when I lived in Birmingham - would this have been the case in 1898 when my grandfather was born?

Once again I am not disappointed with the quickness of information.

Thanks

i hope other people will have some answers for you but they certainly seem well off to me!

charles s the auctioneer was living on "own account" and wife emma was an "employer" shop keeper.

:)Well it's not actually me related to them, I'm related to Jane Sophia Sparks, her mother was Jane Sophia Larden, but I guess we share some relations! :)
