View attachment 66894This is Uncle Harry and Aunty Vi with their first car in 1930. I dont know the make of car but someone suggested it may be a Jowett. Anyone got any ideas ?
Hi Doug and welcome.
Uncle Harry's car is a late 1920s 'flat nose' Morris Cowley, identifiable by the 3-stud wheels (Oxford models were 5-stud) and the bonnet louvres.
There are more, and Oxfords, on this page.
Some Jowetts looked similar, but had 4- or 5-stud wheels. (and only two-cylinder engines).
This Morris Cowley is either a late 1929 or early 1930 model. From September 1930 the car had a taller radiator and slightly higher bonnet line. I have a 1931 Cowley but mine has 5 doors, taller radiator but otherwise the same.
