gone but not forgotten
Hi Lady P, I just tried an experiment
I was logged in on https and clicked on a bookmark which I had for https and could run both versions with no problems or log outs.
I then logged out and then logged back in on the https version and looked at the 'Then and Now' thread. In post#258 I clicked on a link which would go to a https post in the 'Where was your first holiday' thread. I then had an unwanted log out.
I then logged in again on https and clicked on an httpss bookmark I have for https://birminghamhistory.co.uk/forum/index.php?threads/new-st-station-2015.41869/#post557314 and had no log outs even when I was running https and https at the same time looking at any threads.
It is all a bit confusing ... but for me the situation is ...
If I start the forum with an https log in I will eventually get an unwanted log out.
If I start the forum with https I stay logged in.
I'm running Windows 10 and usually the Chrome browser, but can run the Edge browser. I use Norton AV.
