Witton Cemetery office closed?

Hi everyone,
The Birmingham City Council website says that the Witton Cemetery office is closed until further notice. Is this true? Has anyone managed to contact them recently? I'm hoping to find a grave up there in the next few weeks and could really do with the help of the knowledgeable people in the office as it's a big place!

it certainly looks that way but i cant think why...you could try phoning them on monday to see what happens but looking at this they are closed weds and fridays...bit confusing

Thanks Lyn - popped down anyway this weekend but no reasoning is given for the closure. Sadly walked to where the plot is to find that it's a mass grave with nothing to indicate that people are even buried there, doubly sad when the places they lived have also been bulldozed and replaced with industrial units - like they never existed!
