Thomas & Ann Clarke Burial

clarkie

Exiled Brummie
My Gx3 Grandfather was Thomas Clarke who married Ann Reynolds in 1812. I believe both died before 1837. I came across the following burial records but I wonder if the burial for Thomas is one and the same, otherwise two Thomas Clarke burials on the same day might seem odd?

Find my Past: St Pauls - Burials
Thomas 9/12/1829 & Ann 20/5/1832 (Born 1790) both buried St Paul’s.

Find my Past & IGI: St Martin’s – Burials
Thomas 9/12/1829 (Born 1784) & Ann 22 Oct 1834 (Born 1784)

Can any one help?

Regards

Colin Clarke
PS, ignore the variation in spelling E or no E, its still a problem for me!

Hi Colin,
I can find these record at ST MARTINS

THOMAS CLARKE, abode WARWICK STREET, AGE 45, BURIED 9th SEPTEMBER 1829
ANN CLARKE, abode WORKHOUSE, AGE 50, BURIED 22nd OCTOBER 1834

Hope this helps

Many thanks Polly, it helps a lot. I guess that they are two separate Thomas Clarke's, if the one at St Martins lived in Warwick St, Deritend.
The other one, buried at St Pauls, probably lived in the Jewellery Quarter and is the one I'm looking for.

Colin

Did your Thomas Clarke have a father called
James Clarke
1802 - c1869

And a younger brother called James ?

I'm not sure at this stage, I believe he was born in the 1780s, I have 3 or 4 possibilities none include a James.

Thomas & Ann had 3 sons, Samuel 1812, Joseph 1815 & Henry Thomas 1817.

Colin

I have traced my GX3 G/F descendants, for his sons Samuel 1812, & Joseph 1815, my Gx2 G/F but no luck with Henry Thomas 1817.
I have not come across any of those mentioned in your tree. So the connection if any would be in the 1750s.

Colin
