Hello,I went to St.Annes in Alcester St. and then to the annexe in Alcock St.(back of Digbeth)Started in infants in 1949 and left the juniors in Alcock St. at 11 to go to St.Philips Grammar,Hagley Road.My younger brother and sister also attended. Mr.Short was the headmaster and his daughter Clare Short was actually M.P. for ladywood and a bit of a firebrand in the commons. I have many happy(some unhappy) memories of St.Annes.
