New threads - does one already exist ? Please check first

hi folks before starting new threads under general discussion could we ask members to scroll down the main page to see if we already have a designated section for the topic they wish to discuss because lately we are getting topics such as pubs...streets...family research etc being posted here which we have to move to the appropriate sections which all makes extra work for us mods...many thanks for your help...from the team
 
hi folks before making a new post or starting a new thread could we once again ask our members to please search the main page first (it only takes a a couple of mins)....we have threads and sections for most topics but we are increasingly getting more posts made in the wrong places...rather than just delete them for good moderators spend an lot of time behind the scenes transferring members off topic posts to the correct sections of the forum so that they are not lost..this simple rule not only gives the team more time to spend on their own lives but also gives members more chance of receiving help to their enquires..
