Lodge hill cemetery map

There is a map on this page.
I know when I was looking for a grave I had a section number and the grave number, for example 39 was the section. Then I went to the cemetery and had to go to that section and find the grave number. It’s quite a good cemetery for section numbers etc, so if you visit should be easy enough. Is 15 the section maybe?
I have no idea if its 15 or not, l live in Los Angeles and my aunt is buried here but no idea where, she died in 2002, the cemetery people don’t respond l asked how to get a gravesite pic but no answer. If anyone knows how do let me know!
PS thanks a million NicolaHughes for responding!!

I’m happy to help you. I don’t live in Birmingham unfortunately, but I go occasionally. If you are happy to, put her name on here I’m happy to search. I do a lot of ancestry so I have got good at finding graves. I’m sure one of the locals can help too. The cemetery do take a long time to reply unfortunately. I started emailing every day at one point. Thanks Nicola

I found her. You need to pay to see more details unfortunately. She’s under Eliza Ullah. Go onto Birmingham burial records. You should be able to do it from America.

Amazing. I have paid for details of family members a couple of times and it’s quite informative. Thank you.
I need your help with this, it shows she was cremated but does that mean there is no headstone or plaque , so there is nothing to see at the cemetery? I’m not familiar with all this but with your expertise maybe you can shed some light on this, would be so much appreciated! I’m new to this. Thanks for anything you can tell me. Pls see attached.

It depends if any family paid for a plague I believe. Maybe if she had children they would have done. If not maybe no plague or memorial. Sometimes people can’t afford headstones so buried people don’t have headstones either. These can be done later. Hopefully the Cemetary can confirm if a memorial. I’m not sure if memorials are recorded anywhere, probably not the same as a grave. Sorry not very helpful.

No kids or close relatives so l guess no headstone! One last question: is there any way to find cause of death? Thx

Cause of death would be on death certificate which you can purchase.
The ashes were "strewn" ie scattered but with no witnesses. This means it is unlikely there is any kind of stone but not impossible.

Thanks, any idea where to purchase the death certificate in Birmingham? I’m in California.

You can do it on Ancestry but more expensive but it might be easier to do it that way. There may be other ways to do it, but I’m not sure.

You can order the death certificate online. I order them all the time. About £10. https://www.gov.uk/order-copy-birth-death-marriage-certificate
Here is the link. If you can’t do it I can give you my email and I’ll do it for you and post it.
It looks like you can only order it in hard copy and they mail it to you!(yikes)! I don’t see any options for electronic delivery. Did l miss anything? I don’t trust the postal system here and frankly may never see the certificate. Thx

quite correct lon....only birth and marriage certs can be electronically sent....death certs must be ordered hard copy...do you have a rellie or friend living in the uk that it could be sent to if so they could scan the cert and email it to you

No - sorry Lyn only birth and death can be pdf. Marriage has to be hard copy.
It is hard to spot where it says.

Great! Will give it a shot, if l have any issues will let you know! Thanks again.
I’m happy to order it for you and send a scan and post if you want. £10 for certificate and I can scan it. Not sure how much post will be. You can pay me after via PayPal or something. I like helping people sometimes lol

You lot are so clever.
This is a useful link.
Lodge Hill Crematorium - Book of Remembrance
Entries /were/are quite expensive and several of my family are included. It is nice to "visit" the Book if you can't make it to the Cemetery. Last time I was at the Cemetery there was an electronic "Book" outside for days when they aren't open.
rosie.
Thanks l’ll look it up.

That would be fabulous! I can use PayPal to pay you, my email is [email protected]. You can discard the hard copy once l get the scan. Any chance you could also get her husband’s certificate while you’re at it? His details are on the spouse link of that shot l sent earlier. Many thanks for doing this!
