I often wondered where Anne`s love of beer came from. This photo, lurking with others in some paperwork, reveals all ! Taken in 1950 near Earlswood when Anne was 4 years old, with a half of mild in front of Anne and her Granma ! Anne says that Granma always had a quart of stout every night, collected from the outdoor in a white enamel jug , (warmed with a red hot poker in winter) and Anne had hers in an egg cup ! Happy Days.

Lovely photo Doug. My nan was tea total but it didn't stop me. Brings back memories of old lady Daniels always dressed in black collecting her tipple every evening in her jug from Mrs Nevilles's outdoor. Jean.
